Longview: A Small City on the Rise
Just north of the Sabine River, Longview is a city located in East Texas where Interstate 20 and Highways 80 and 259 converge. In 2014, Forbes magazine ranked Longview as the sixth fastest growing small city in the United States. Like Tyler, Longview is considered a major hub city for East Texas. Festivals are a big part of Longview culture: in May, the city celebrates the arts with AlleyFest, while in June, it hosts the famous T-Bone Walker Blues Festival, and finally, in July, Longview kicks off the Great Texas Balloon Race.
